Mandy is Doing Great!

Hey Guys,

 I have some great news!

Mandy is doing great! Her heart rate is stable and all of her stats look fantastic. They removed the breathing tube this morning, and she is breathing room air.

Teresa and I are taking a break from the hospital for a few days. You have no idea how tired you can get living in a hospital room. Dont get me wrong The nurses did everything  they could to make us comfortable. It is sort of like living in a fish bowl or like an animal in the zoo. Imagine waking up in the middle of the night and watching a doctor and a bunch of medical students standing outside your room, carrying on an inpromptu lecture about your baby’s heart condition. Its pretty un-nerving.

It has some strange after-effcts as well. I keep wakng up in the middle of the night, not hearing any alarms, and fearful that a nurse might walk in and see me without my shirt. It is a crazy feeling. But we are getting some realy good rest.

Thank You for All Your Prayers. May our Father in Heaven reward you foryour faithfulness.

Quick Update and Prayer Request

Hi All,

Mandy is doing ok. She had a couple of issues. First she started to exhibit a wierd breathing pattern. They gave her some medication and she is doing better now. There was some concerns that she might be having siezures, but that has been eliminated.

Second, early this morning, her heart rate shot up into the 220s. They gave her some medication and slowed it down. But they are not sure why it went up so high.

Please pray that God will continue to heal her body.

Mandy is Back Safe and Sound

Hey Everyone,

Its about 9:30 pm and all is well. Mandy is laying in her bed about 5 feet from me. She looks sort of like Inspector Gadget. She has tubes and wires and all kinds of stuff coming out of her. They are keeping her pretty sedated for the first few days, and she is on a respirator.

I will try to post regularly and let you know how she is doing. Thank You For All The Prayers!   To God Be All The Honor and The Power and Glory Forever Amen

Mandy’s Operation

at about 7:30 am this morning, we took Mandy down to the operating room. It was kind of heart-wrenching as we watched the doctors and nurses wheeling her away for her heart surgery. They are going to repair the two holes in her heart. The surgery is supposed to take between 4-6 hours. As we get updates we will post them here.

Purpose for this Blog

Hey Everyone,

My wife and I decided to create this blog for 2 purposes:

1 To keep everyone updated on how Mandy is doing. It is difficult to repeat the same story over and over and over. If you fill out the form attached to this page, you will recieve by email updates as I post them. I will keep your email addresses private and will make no attept to use them for any other purpose.

2 To share the story as it unfolds. God has been so good to us. We know that Mandy is truly a gift from God! There has been so many miracles, that we want to share them with everyone. Our hope that it will bless you.

After going through everything we have gone through up to this pont, we know beyond a shadow of a doubt that with God you can walk through any fire.
